CountryGentlemen Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling, Inc.
Q. Do you do a contract for each job? A. Yes, we like to have a record of what we are to do and what each product is we will be using. That way, there are no surprises.
Q. Are you insured? A. Yes, we will have our insurance company mail you a certificate of insurance. Anyone (insured or not) can hand you a copy of their insurance, but you wouldn't know if it was current or not. We like to make sure you know ours is valid.
Q. Do you use subcontractors? A. Yes, our licensed plumber is our only subcontractor. We have our guys that work for us do all other work described in the contract.
Q. How many days will it take to remodel my bathroom or kitchen? A. We can only tell you approximately how long once we have done an estimate. Each job has different specifications. We have to judge by the individual job.
Q. Do you have references? A. Yes, of course we do, just ask and we will get you the list.
Q. How long will I have to wait to have my job done? A. After you sign a contract, we will put you on our job list, we order all your materials and have everything ready to do your job. When your name comes up on the list we will do your job. We will stay on your job until it is complete.
About kitchen & bathroom remodeling
Q. Will remodeling increase the value of my home? A. Yes, typically a kitchen or bath remodel will make your home more valuable. You will probably not see a dollar for dollar return if you sell though. If you live in the home for a bit after the remodel, you will enjoy the rewards in more ways than one.
Q. Will I have to pay sales tax? A. Currently NY state has a Capital Improvement Form, you fill it out, we keep it on file and if you buy your materials here and we do your remodeling job, you will not pay tax.
Q. I only want some things replaced, will you do just a portion of a kitchen or bathroom? A. Definitely, we can do just what you want to do.
Q. I just want to regrout tile, will you do that? A. Sorry, we don't regrout, it is very labor intensive and you'd be so mad if we broke a tile. You would need to have all the old grout taken out to do the job properly.
Q. Will you go over my existing tub? A. No, we take out what is old. We like to get to the bottom of the problems your having and start all over new. We will take out to the studs and remove any damaged materials around a tub or shower.
Q. How long does it take to change a tub out. A. We take it out and put a new one in on the first day, we do come back the 2nd day to finish Sheetrock after it has dried.
